My paintings of the Australian landscape have focused on the hills, valleys and waterways of the Far North Coast, the New England Tablelands and the South Coast of New South Wales.
The working title of my current body of work is ‘Bedrock’, evolving from a field trip to Moonbi Lookout, Tamworth. Bare, exposed, weathered hillsides of rock where boulders and slabs of stone emerge from the bush and challenge the observer.
From a childhood where the creative arts were encouraged to graduating from The City Art Institute (UNSW Art and Design) and short courses at NAS, Tom Bass Sculpture Studio and The Slade, I have had solo and group exhibitions at Project Gallery, Woollahra and been selected in art prizes including The Paddington Landscape Prize and the Mosman Art Prize.
